Turning chaotic data into intuitive tools
I’m Kelly McCann - a Senior Product Designer architecting complex systems at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and defense.
What I Bring to Every Project
WCAG 2.1 AA by default. Every interface is audited for contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support from wireframe forward, not retrofitted before launch.
Accessibility first
I work in and contribute to tokens, components, and documentation so engineers ship faster and every screen stays consistent at scale.
Design-system native
Revenue, retention, support deflection, time-to-market. I design to move the number, and I show the math.
Measured by outcomes
DoD Tactical Drone Hub
Ground-up UX strategy, custom component library, and brand system for an application connecting field drones with critical software updates.
UX Strategy | Brand Identity | Design Systems | DoW Defense
Projects at the edge of AI, health, and experience design.
The Helix
Standing up Booz Allen’s Center for Innovation - customer experiences, brand identity, service blueprints, and an end-to-end activation design working with 50+ SMEs.
Health AI Products
Leading UX for a portfolio of AI-driven health products across federal agencies - designing for explainability, trust, and the unpredictability of AI outputs.
Levo
A caregiver-scheduling dashboard rebuilt around retention and real workflows - mobile and desktop, rooted in staff research.
ShiftMed
An innovative app and platform technology connecting fully-credentialed nurses with healthcare facilities.
Brand systems, component libraries, and the collateral that lives inside them.
A decade of visual identity and design-system work across federal, corporate, and commercial clients — tokens, typography scales, reusable components, and the governance that keeps them alive.
"We've come to recognize that if you want to swim in the deep end, you've got to do things like this. These designs are an important step in our evolution as a future-forward company."
